Getting paid on time is still one of the most manual, frustrating tasks in finance. A Swedish startup believes AI agents can finally change that.
Paraglide, a Malmö-based company building AI agents for accounts receivable, has raised €4.2 million ($5 million) in Seed funding to scale its platform and expand across Europe. The round was co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and DN Capital, with participation from Born Capital and The Nordic Web Ventures.
Accounts receivable is often treated as a back-office function, but delays in payment directly affect cash flow, forecasting, and growth. Paraglide is targeting this problem with AI agents designed to take over high-volume billing conversations — from answering customer questions to chasing overdue invoices — without adding work for finance teams.
“Cash is king,” said Alex Ferrara of Bessemer Venture Partners. “Paraglide’s ability to free up cash flow makes them an AI king maker for finance teams. Accounts receivable is an obvious area where generative AI can drive massive efficiencies, and Paraglide’s agents help reduce DSOs while freeing finance teams to focus on more strategic work.”
Paraglide was founded by Rasmus Areskoug and Andreas Åström, former CFO and Head of Engineering at GetAccept. The idea came from direct experience. As a CFO, Areskoug saw finance teams spend countless hours answering billing emails, sending reminders, and manually following up on invoices — often with little effect.
“I’ve seen finance teams drowning in billing queries and tirelessly chasing invoices with reminders that customers ignore,” said Areskoug, now Paraglide’s CEO. “AI agents have already transformed customer support by handling high-volume conversations. That same shift is now coming to accounts receivable.”
Unlike traditional AR tools that rely on one-way, templated payment reminders, Paraglide’s AI agents hold full two-way conversations with customers. They respond within existing email threads, understand context, follow up naturally, and take action across the finance stack — all with the goal of getting invoices paid faster.
The platform is built for high-volume B2B finance teams, where even small improvements in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) can unlock significant cash flow. According to the company, early customers have seen a 34% reduction in DSO and reached “financial inbox zero” within a week of onboarding.
Paraglide already works with mid-market and enterprise customers including Choco, Ardoq, and Spiideo, and has partnered with revenue automation company Chargebee. The new funding will be used to further develop its AI-native AR platform, accelerate European expansion, and bring agentic automation deeper into finance teams.
For Paraglide, the ambition is clear: turn one of finance’s most persistent pain points into a largely automated, AI-driven process — and help companies get paid on time, without the chase.
