SaaS Enabled Marketplace (SEM) is a hybrid business model that combines features of two other business models: SaaS (Software as a Service) and Marketplace. From the point of view of investors, this combination brings many advantages such as diversification of revenue sources, greater potential for scaling or an increase in the value of the product in the eyes of customers, thanks to the comprehensiveness of the solution. SEM is a SaaS product with additional features for users to transact, and the SaaS component can be either on the buyer’s side or on the provider’s side.
