Amsterdam-based proptech startup Getplace.io has secured pre-seed funding from Antler VC to launch its first products in the UK market. The B2B SaaS company provides small and medium-sized companies with the data needed to make strategic decisions for the location of their brick-and-mortar stores. Getplace.io’s tools provide a comprehensive level of visibility into scouting for a new store location, combining different datasets including footfall, vehicle traffic, demographics, financial insights, competition levels and many others.
The lack of available data has traditionally made deciding on a new location for a store more of an art than a science. Companies have to consider a list of things including accessibility, visibility, traffic, competition, neighbors, and location costs. It is virtually impossible to do this effectively without having excessive amounts of data and the processing power to analyze it. However, with Getplace.io’s new products, small and medium-sized businesses will have access to insights they would not normally have access to. The first product focuses on comparing opportunities between different locations the business is already considering, and the second is a heatmap of pedestrian traffic in the UK. With the funding from Antler, Getplace.io is entering the UK market and expanding its product selection, with plans to expand to other European markets in the future.
The company was founded by Denis Chernobaev and Sergey Shсherbak at the beginning of 2023. Getplace.io helps small and medium-sized businesses make strategic data-driven decisions about the location of their brick-and-mortar stores.
“The UK was selected as our first market given its size and one of the founders being located there. We are already looking into expanding to other European markets”, says Chernobaev. Antler, the investor backing the world’s most driven founders, from day zero to greatness, is pleased to be the first investor in the company that empowers traditional brick-and-mortar store owners with new age online tools that leverage vast amounts of data to expand their business to today’s market demands.
Getplace.io combines different data sources, such as footfall, vehicle traffic, demographics, financial insights, competition, and many others to find the best spaces on the market and avoid risks of failure. To know more about the company, please visit their website at getplace.io.
