Brand24 has been around for almost 12 years and has become one of the biggest media monitoring tools. The startup has been a widely respected project in the community from the beginning, but a lot in this regard changed in 2019, when Brand24’s fanpage along with Michael’s private account were banned by Facebook.
After a six-month battle, these accounts were finally restored, and Brand24 itself dealt with the effects of the banning. However, this event taught Michal a few things about people. Unexpectedly he received support from… his competitors.
– I don’t think I told this to anyone outside the company, and it certainly wasn’t in any interview. Often friends turned out to be enemies, but I remember that moments after being blocked from Facebook, Kamil Bargiel of SentiOne, with whom we historically have had various adventures – as competition does. I was surprised that Kamil asked me how he could help us, it was mega cool – says Michał Sadowski.
