What is the story behind your company?
Has a firefighter for Miami Dade County Florida during Hurricane Andrew I saw the need for more safe rooms and stronger construction. From this event, I began my life focusing on designing and building tornado-proof buildings incorporating green energy systems such as solar, wind, and composting toilets.
Post Hurricane Andrew I designed and built safedomes, portable 8-ton 10 feet in diameter 9 feet high concrete domes capable of withstanding 250 mph winds or more. Used every day for a lifetime to store goods, golf cart garage, extra bedroom, and when needed to save your life!
To this day safedomes are the only product in America certified both by Miami Dade County Florida and the Department of Defense as a portable bunker.
Using the safedomes to create an off-grid fish farm in 2009 was ruined by DeSoto County and the State of Florida. To attempt to conceal violations to farm rights counsel for the Florida Dept of Agriculture declared tornado-proof storage sheds NOT farm buildings? The actions are done by DeSoto County nearly bankrupt DRD Enterprises inc of Davie.
2010 DRD Enterprises inc of Davie began dome home construction completing a 30-foot diameter home at Inverness, Florida. Currently offering a home at Northport Florida and taking orders for Quonset hut homes on the many vacant lots owned by financing no homeowners insurance.
What does success mean to you and your company?
Seeing a neighborhood rebuild using quonset hut design and exterior insulation would be the greatest show of success and hope for change.
