It is already the fourth edition of the University of Success
University of Success is a program allowing to gain future competences in the field of communication, motivation, law, programming, cyber security and digital marketing. The organizers emphasize that the program is difficult and requires many months of commitment, but gives participants a real opportunity to get a well-paid and interesting job.
– For each participant, the University of Success is almost a year of intensive work. Participation in workshops, a mentoring program, career counseling, meetings with experts and courses preparing for work in IT completed with an exam. At the end of the program many participants get paid internships in our program partners’ companies – in this edition we have already guaranteed internships for half of the participants – says Elżbieta Wojciechowska, president of the Digital University Foundation.
Now the programme is also available for Ukrainian women
Each edition of the program differs from the previous one, but the goal remains the same: to help young women enter the job market by equipping them with new digital and communication competencies.
– The University of Success program is a very important project for me, because it addresses the real needs of girls from excluded environments, i.e. those who lack support and are unaware of the direction the world is heading in and how to find their way in it,” says Jowita Michalska, founder of the Digital University Foundation. – In the last three weeks, we all felt exceptionally strongly the importance of solidarity and the ability to adapt quickly to changes. We are not indifferent to the tragedy that has befallen our neighbors – since the first days of the war we have been sending drones to Kiev, and now we are also helping here on the ground. We are expanding our foundation projects to include children and women fleeing Ukraine. We have rapidly adapted Success University to recruit Ukrainian women. We believe that this program can also be an opportunity and motivation for them to start a new life.
Ukrainian women can apply to the University of Success by filling out the form in Ukrainian, but at a later stage, knowledge of English or Polish will be required. The program is addressed to Ukrainian women aged 20-30, who left Ukraine due to the warfare and are determined to take part in a year-long program, during which they will gain new competencies in their chosen field of new technologies. In addition to the 5-day on-site workshop, which participants will take place in one of the three cities: Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw, the rest of the classes will be conducted online and you do not need to be in Poland.
Program partners involved
The cost of education of one participant is 10 000 PLN, therefore each year the project requires the support of many donors. What is important, the program partners do not limit themselves to financial contributions – often their employees become involved in the activities as mentors or career advisors of the Success University participants.
So far, besides Nationale-Nederlanden, support for the 4th edition of the Program has been confirmed by: Inter Cars Foundation, Bayer, Ocado, OEX, Puro Hotels, Gestalt School of Psychotherapy, Lumina Learning, SSW Pragmatic Solutions and BWHS Law Office. You can still join as a partner.
