Call for proposals for the ł.pitch Startup Challenge competition is now open

For whom is ł.pitch?

The contest is aimed at startups at an early stage of development – pre-seed and seed – in which at least one person from the founding team is from Poland. During the competition, Polish startups will have a chance to present themselves before a jury of potential investors and representatives of the Polish business scene. Former jury members include Sebastian Kulczyk (Kulczyk Investments), Krzysztof Krawczyk (CVC) and Paweł Zielewski (Forbes).

– The mission of ł.pitch is to support exceptional talent, often our peers, by providing an opportunity to present their ideas in front of a panel of experts and entrepreneurs, guests and participants of the largest student conference in the UK. We want to accelerate the development of innovative companies in the Polish entrepreneurial ecosystem. Watching the winners of the previous editions, Tensorflight, Comixify, GGPredict, we see that they are doing great on the Polish and international startup scene. It drives us to continue the venture – says Julianna Klęk, the leader of this year’s ł.pitch Startup Challenge

Tensorflight, the winner of the first edition of ł.pitch, is a creator of software that allows automatic analysis of satellite and aerial imagery. In 2021, it found itself among the top InsurTech companies in the United States. In Poland, solutions developed by the Tensorflight team have been implemented, among others, by the National Tax Administration. The winner of the last edition of the competition, GGPredict, a company creating virtual trainings for the computer game CS GO, has recently raised 1 million Euros for expansion into Scandinavia and America.

The course of the competition

Four startups will qualify to the finals of the competition, which will take place on March 12, 2022 in London. Then in the formula “Dragon’s Den” they will be evaluated by a jury. Applications to ł.pitch are accepted until 26 February 2022. To participate in the competition, you need to fill out the application form available on this page and on the LSE PBS ł.pitch Facebook profile. It is worth noting that the transfer to London and tickets for the gala ball held after the conference are funded by the Polish Economic Forum – participants, potential finalists, do not have to worry about logistical issues related to the flight after qualifying to the finals.
