With the specific needs of the modern business landscape in Greece in mind, Bayer Hellas is adding another important initiative in this direction, the new Level-up program.
Level-up is a support and advisory program for start-ups of varying maturity, with the main objective of developing innovative ideas into viable businesses that can grow either organically or through securing financing.
The design of the Level-up programme aims to address the full range of a start-up’s needs in the areas mentioned above, providing participants with access to:
- Mentoring from qualified, senior company executives with experience in the healthcare and agriculture sectors.
- Advice from company executives, so that the start-up can gain additional skills if it participates in Bayer’s international competitive programs (such as G4A) and can be a potential partner of the company locally or regionally.
- Seminars and open discussions on key issues for startups such as: financing and partnerships, appropriate business models and business plan, marketing strategies, legal and accounting framework for startups, science and entrepreneurship.
Currently, ten startups from all over Greece, active in the health and agri-food sector, have secured their place in the first cycle of the programme, which will be completed in nine months. During a meeting held on Thursday 4 November, the participants had the opportunity to get to know each other as well as the mentors and experts with whom they will share the experience of the programme, setting together the goals that will be achieved through their participation.
Mrs. Sonia Musavere, Head of Communications at Bayer Hellas and responsible for the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programs said. In recent years, Greece has shown rapid growth in this direction and in this effort we could not but be a supporter and companion of new ideas that bring us closer to our global vision of “Health and Food for All”. Level-up comes to provide important resources to start-ups, giving them the impetus to continue to evolve. It is, after all, very important to remember that innovation is always accelerated through meaningful collaboration.”
