Borås-based Digiclean has raised €2.5 million (approximately $2.85 million) in a seed funding round to accelerate the deployment of its AI-powered industrial optimization platform.
The round was led by Unconventional Ventures and Almi Invest GreenTech, supporting the company’s mission to reduce industrial waste and improve resource efficiency through intelligent monitoring of process fluids.
Using AI to Make Manufacturing More Efficient
Digiclean has developed a platform that combines artificial intelligence, sensor technology, and real-time analytics to monitor and optimize the use of process fluids in manufacturing environments.
Process fluids—including coolants, lubricants, and cleaning liquids—are essential across industries such as automotive, metalworking, and advanced manufacturing. However, inefficient monitoring often leads to excessive consumption, unnecessary downtime, and higher operating costs.
By continuously analyzing fluid quality and usage, Digiclean enables manufacturers to extend fluid lifecycles, improve production efficiency, and reduce waste.
Driving Sustainability Through Industrial Data
Industrial manufacturers are under increasing pressure to lower emissions, reduce resource consumption, and improve operational efficiency.
Rather than relying on scheduled fluid replacement, Digiclean’s technology helps companies make data-driven decisions based on the actual condition of process fluids. This predictive approach can reduce chemical waste, lower maintenance costs, and minimize production interruptions while supporting broader sustainability goals.
The startup sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, industrial IoT, and CleanTech—three sectors attracting growing investor attention as manufacturers accelerate digital transformation.
Backed by Climate-Focused Investors
The €2.5 million seed round was led by Unconventional Ventures, with participation from Almi Invest GreenTech.
The funding will help Digiclean expand its technology platform, grow its commercial team, and increase adoption among industrial manufacturers seeking more sustainable production processes.
