Madrid-based Talky Labs, a Spanish startup building AI technology to automate accounting and financial operations, has raised €1.5 million in a pre-Seed round to expand its team, develop its product further and improve its technical infrastructure. The round closed in September 2026.
The Round
Participating venture firms were HelloWorld, Silence VC, Motive Force and Aera Capital. Angel investors include Sebastián Gunningham, Paul Golbaum and Javier Morenés, among others.
The Problem
Accounting decisions often depend on information scattered across enterprise systems, spreadsheets, emails, contracts and individual employees’ knowledge. Conventional automation handles standard transactions, but unusual invoices and exceptions often need manual work, which causes delays and raises the risk of errors.
How Talky Works
Founded in 2025 by Jorge Beamonte (CEO) and Maximilian Letón (COO), Talky aims to automate financial processes that normally rely on accountants’ experience and knowledge of a company’s internal practices.
Its AI learns from a company’s historical accounting records and its finance teams’ expertise. Rather than relying only on predefined rules, it identifies how earlier transactions were handled, extracts the accounting criteria involved and applies them to new transactions. When it meets an unfamiliar situation or lacks enough information, it identifies the right employee to consult.
Beamonte said: “Every company has its own way of doing accounting, and it’s almost never written down. Talky learns those criteria, applies them to the hard cases and turns them into information for better decisions.”
According to the startup, the platform can read invoices, suggest accounting entries, review tax information and reconcile bank transactions before recording the results in the client’s ERP system. It says its technology processes 86% to 93% of accounting documents without human intervention.
Traction
With a team of just nine, Talky reports having processed more than 1.8 million documents and over €2 billion in client expenditure. These are the company’s own figures.
What’s Next
Talky wants to expand among large enterprises and financial services providers that handle high transaction volumes. Recruitment is a central priority, and the founders plan to keep developing the platform with existing customers.
A Busy Year for AI Accounting
Talky’s round comes amid a series of European investments in AI accounting and finance operations in 2026, including Belgium’s Dytto (€1.5 million), Denmark’s Plinto (€2.9 million), Germany’s mika (€6 million) and the UK’s Zalos (€3.1 million), as well as Barcelona-based Dolfin (€2.1 million) for adjacent financial workflows. Together with Talky, EU-Startups puts these rounds at about €66.8 million.
