Malmö-based startup Aquacheq has secured SEK1.5 million (€140K, $160K) in new funding backed by HETCH Capital, to scale its sensor for intelligent household water leak monitoring.
The Round
The funding comes from HETCH Capital, which announced the investment on LinkedIn, congratulating the Aquacheq team on the milestone.
What Aquacheq Is Building
Aquacheq is developing smart water technology that detects leaks, helps prevent water damage, and gives households better control over their water consumption. The system combines ultrasonic monitoring, automatic water shut-off, and real-time insights delivered through a companion app, with the goal of making water usage both safer and smarter for everyday households.
Water damage remains one of the most common and costly issues homeowners face, often going undetected until it causes significant structural harm. By pairing continuous monitoring with the ability to automatically cut off water flow when a leak is detected, Aquacheq’s approach aims to catch problems before they escalate — while also giving households ongoing visibility into how much water they’re actually using.
What’s Next
With the fresh capital, Aquacheq will continue building out its smart water platform as it works to bring safer, more efficient water management to more homes.
