Barcelona-based startup heydiga has raised €5.5 million in a new funding round to continue developing its AI-powered conversation layer for local businesses.
The Round
The round was led by 6 Degrees Capital, with participation from Kfund, Italian Founders Fund, Decelera, and a group of angel investors, including Thibault D’hondt, Iñaki Arrola, Sergio Álvarez Leiva, Virginia Bassano, Lorenzo Franzi, Andreas Mihalovits, Ian Noel, and Raquel Połgrabia.
The Product
Founded by Sergio Espeja and David Zafra, heydiga is building an AI-powered conversation layer for local businesses. The platform already handles hundreds of thousands of calls each month for hundreds of businesses, using AI to manage customer conversations at scale — helping businesses respond more quickly while reducing routine workload for their teams.
Market Context
The funding signals continued investor interest in AI tools aimed at practical business operations, particularly around customer communication and service, an area where local and small businesses have historically had fewer purpose-built AI options compared to larger enterprises.
