NEW YORK, NY – June 2026 – Wooxy successfully hosted two dedicated events during New York Tech Week 2026, bringing together marketers, founders, developers, product leaders, and technology innovators to explore the future of AI-powered customer retention.
As one of the world’s largest decentralized technology festivals, New York Tech Week transformed the city into a global meeting point for startups, investors, universities, and emerging technology communities. The 2026 edition featured hundreds of events across New York City, with artificial intelligence continuing to be one of the dominant themes shaping discussions around the future of business and innovation.
For Wooxy, participating as an event host represented an opportunity not only to share expertise in customer retention but also to contribute to a broader dialogue about how AI can create more meaningful relationships between businesses and their customers.
Building AI-Powered Customer Retention Systems
The day began with Wooxy’s workshop, “Building AI-Powered Customer Retention Systems“ hosted at Pace University in Manhattan.
During the session, participants explored how businesses can move beyond traditional campaign-based marketing toward intelligent, data-driven retention ecosystems. The workshop focused on practical applications of AI in customer engagement, including personalized communication, automated customer journeys, predictive analytics, and omnichannel strategies designed to increase customer lifetime value.

Working in smaller teams, participants explored customer retention challenges and designed AI-powered approaches to solving them. At the end of the session, each group presented its ideas and frameworks to the wider audience, creating an interactive environment built around collaboration and shared learning.
One of the workshop’s key objectives was to move beyond theory and demonstrate a practical system that attendees could adapt and implement within their own organizations and projects.
The focus was not only on understanding customer retention concepts but also on providing participants with a repeatable framework to build smarter, more personalized experiences using AI and automation.
Attendees represented a diverse mix of industries and backgrounds, creating an engaging environment where ideas, challenges, and real-world experiences were openly shared.
Hacking Customer Retention with AI
Following the workshop, Wooxy hosted its first New York Tech Week hackathon, “Hacking Customer Retention with AI“
The event united developers, engineers, startup teams, and innovators around a common goal: discovering how artificial intelligence can help solve real customer retention challenges.
Rather than viewing artificial intelligence as a separate tool, participants explored how AI and software development increasingly work side by side. Teams combined human expertise, strategic thinking, and AI capabilities to accelerate ideation, problem-solving, and execution.
Participants collaborated both in person and remotely via Zoom, demonstrating a new model of innovation that removes geographical barriers and enables global participation. Throughout the hackathon, teams worked on practical concepts to improve customer engagement, loyalty, and long-term business growth through AI.
The event demonstrated a new reality of product development, where developers collaborate with AI systems as part of the development process. This evolving approach enables faster experimentation, broader exploration of ideas, and new possibilities for innovation.
More than a coding competition, the hackathon became a platform for experimentation, knowledge exchange, and meaningful collaboration between technical and business communities.

“New York Tech Week has an unbelievable rhythm and atmosphere. You constantly move from one conversation to another, meeting founders, investors, and people building exciting things. We created our own events and joined many others, which gave us a completely new perspective. It’s the perfect environment for business connections and collaboration. This was a new experience for Wooxy, and we’re confident we’ll continue participating next year.”

The openness of the community and the concentration of talent made New York Tech Week a unique platform where partnerships begin, ideas evolve, and innovation accelerates.

Continuing the Journey
Looking back at New York Tech Week 2026, it was more than just a series of events — it was a reminder of how fast things move when the right people are in the same room. Meetings happened constantly, ideas evolved on the spot, and collaborations started naturally between founders, builders, and teams.
For anyone building a product or scaling a business, events like this are not optional — they’re essential. You don’t just learn what’s new in the industry, you understand where it’s going through real conversations.
— Hayk Hayrapetian, Wooxy Founder & CEO
“My advice to founders and teams is simple: don’t just attend panels — create your own moments. Host something, join side events, talk to people outside your niche. That’s where real opportunities appear.”
Wooxy extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the workshop and hackathon, both onsite and online. The enthusiasm, curiosity, and collaborative spirit of every attendee helped make these events a success.
We also want to thank Pace University and Cloudonix for their support with venue setup, event logistics, and overall organization. Special thanks to PRNEWS.IO, Wooxy’s media partner, for helping amplify the conversation around innovation in customer retention.
