London-based MintNeuro, an Imperial College London spin-out that designs specialised chips for neural devices, has raised $5 million. Odyssey Ventures led the round. Prague’s JSK Investments, 33East and Alumni Ventures joined it, and existing investors Empirical Ventures and Jumpspace Ventures also reinvested.
MintNeuro will use the funding to bring its products to market, ship more pre-production chips to partners and build up its presence, especially in the United States.

Hardware is the bottleneck
Neural devices, from implants to wearables, are opening new ways to diagnose and treat conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, depression and hearing loss. But developers struggle to find chips that meet their strict requirements for power consumption, size, safety and signal quality. Most either design their own silicon or adapt general-purpose components.
MintNeuro offers a third option: a modular semiconductor platform that senses and processes neural signals and delivers targeted electrical stimulation. Device makers can build smaller, more energy-efficient hardware on top of it and move faster from the lab to the clinic.
“The main obstacle holding back neurotechnology today is not a lack of ideas, but hardware. MintNeuro is addressing this gap with a platform on which the entire industry can build. We were convinced to invest by its strong technology team, working chips and first long-term commercial contract,” says Petra Cihlářová, Investment Director of the Venture Capital Sub-Fund at JSK Investments.
Already shipping
MintNeuro is already supplying working chips and has reached key integration milestones with development partners including Motif Neurotech and Amber Therapeutics. This year it signed a multi-year agreement to supply chips for Motif’s minimally invasive neurostimulator, which initially targets treatment-resistant depression. A growing number of neural-device makers and research teams are now testing or integrating its technology.
“We are delighted to join the JSK portfolio and gain the backing of an investor with a strong network across Europe and the United States, where we are now expanding our operations. With its healthcare connections and experience as both investors and entrepreneurs, our partnership with JSK will help us bring our chips closer to the developers and clinicians shaping the future of neural devices,” says Dorian Haci, Co-founder and CEO of MintNeuro.
The company currently focuses on medical applications. In the long term, it aims to become the standard chip platform for brain–computer interfaces, bioelectronic medicine and other technologies that connect human biology with the digital world.
Why JSK invested
JSK Investments SICAV is a self-managed fund for qualified investors, set up in 2025 and led by Simona Kijonková. It builds on the JSK Investments family office that Simona and Jaromír Kijonka founded in 2017, and backs Czech and European companies with capital and hands-on support. Its venture capital sub-fund invests in technology and innovation projects.
“Neurotechnology has enormous potential to transform the lives of millions of patients, but without cutting-edge hardware, these innovations will remain in the laboratory. MintNeuro is building an essential foundation without which the entire field cannot move forward,” says Kijonková, Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Investment Officer of JSK Investments.
The round brings together deep-tech, medtech and early-stage investors from both sides of the Atlantic.
