ARTCLINE GmbH, a Rostock-based biotech developing immune cell therapies for critical care medicine, has completed a €3.4 million financing round as it moves toward commercialisation of its lead therapy, ARTICE®.
The Round
The round includes a €1 million investment from Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mbH (MBG MV), alongside additional commitments from existing and new investors.
What the Funding Supports
The capital will be used to support the market launch of ARTICE®, an allogeneic immune cell therapy for septic shock, and to advance commercialisation preparations following completion of the ReActIF-ICE clinical trial. The company says topline results from the multicenter, randomized, controlled study are currently being read out.
The Technology
ARTCLINE GmbH develops novel immune cell therapies for use in critical care medicine, with a focus on treating septic shock. Its lead therapy, ARTICE®, is an allogeneic immune cell therapy designed to support and stabilise key functions of patients’ dysregulated immune systems — targeting a condition marked by high mortality and, to date, limited treatment options.
Market Context
The financing highlights continued investor interest in therapies targeting septic shock, an area of critical care that remains underserved despite its severity, making ARTCLINE’s progress toward commercialisation a notable step for the field.
Use of Funds
ARTCLINE plans to use the capital to:
- Support the launch of ARTICE therapy
- Advance preparations for commercialisation
