STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Swedish HealthTech startup Eira AI has secured its first external funding round from global early-stage venture capital firm Antler, providing fresh capital to accelerate the development of its AI platform for healthcare providers.
While the companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the investment, industry estimates suggest the round is worth approximately €200,000, marking an important milestone for the Stockholm-based startup as it moves from product development toward commercial growth.
Bringing AI to Healthcare Administration
Eira AI is developing an artificial intelligence platform designed to automate non-clinical administrative work for healthcare providers.
Rather than replacing medical professionals, the platform focuses on reducing time spent on repetitive operational tasks, enabling clinics to improve efficiency while allowing doctors and healthcare staff to dedicate more attention to patient care.
Administrative processes remain one of healthcare’s largest operational challenges, making AI-powered workflow automation one of the fastest-growing segments within the HealthTech industry.
Backed by Antler
The investment comes from Antler, one of the world’s most active early-stage venture capital firms, which specializes in backing founders during the earliest stages of company development.
According to Eira AI founder Elof Gerde, the decision to partner with Antler was driven not only by access to capital but also by the experience of investor Tobias Bengtsdahl, whose background as a founder made him an ideal partner.
Gerde explained that founder-led investors understand the importance of allowing entrepreneurs to focus on creating value for customers rather than spending excessive time fundraising.
Building the Future of Clinic Operations
The company says its mission is to help clinic owners streamline daily operations through intelligent automation, removing administrative bottlenecks that consume valuable staff time.
Demand for AI-driven healthcare software continues to grow as providers face increasing pressure to improve efficiency, manage workforce shortages, and reduce administrative costs without compromising quality of care.
Solutions capable of automating documentation, scheduling, communication, and operational workflows are becoming central to digital transformation strategies across healthcare systems.
Expanding Sweden’s AI HealthTech Ecosystem
Eira AI joins a growing group of Swedish startups applying artificial intelligence to healthcare infrastructure rather than direct clinical diagnosis.
The funding reflects continued investor confidence in AI platforms that improve operational efficiency and address some of healthcare’s most persistent productivity challenges.
With Antler’s backing, Eira AI plans to continue developing its platform and supporting healthcare providers seeking practical AI tools that simplify administrative work while allowing medical professionals to focus on what matters most—patient care.
The investment also highlights the strength of Sweden’s HealthTech ecosystem, where early-stage AI startups continue attracting investor interest by developing solutions that modernize healthcare delivery through automation and intelligent digital workflows.
