Ordo Labs, a Stockholm-based startup offering an AI workspace for regulated science, has joined Y Combinator’s Fall 2026 batch, securing the standard $500K in first funding as part of the accelerator programme.
The Company
Founded by Kristina Hoang, Sebastian Apelgren, and Adam Tovatt, Ordo Labs previously participated in batch 22 of KTH Innovation Launch and quietly launched its website a few months prior to joining YC. With their product, the three founders want to enable research labs to “move as fast as everything else now does” while staying compliant with what can be considered some of the strictest regulatory rules of any industry.
Co-founder Kristina Hoang described early traction on LinkedIn: “We’re already live in paid pilots with labs in Sweden and abroad. Every scientist says the same thing when they see it: finally.”
The Funding
Alongside the $500K from Y Combinator, Ordo Labs raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding prior to being accepted into YC, provided by Wave Ventures, Johannes Schildt, and Ekaterina Gianelli.
Part of a Bigger Swedish Cohort
Ordo Labs is the third Sweden-based startup to announce joining Y Combinator’s Fall 2026 batch, following Halmos Labs and Rence. Qokedas, founded by three Swedes but based in San Francisco from the start, was also accepted. Additionally, Sona8, founded in Berlin by Madeleine Malmsten and two others, includes at least one other Swedish founder in the latest batch.
