London's Xapien Raises €48.3M for AI-Native Due Diligence Platform

London-based Xapien, an AI-native due diligence platform, has raised a total of €48.31 million across a single funding round, backed by investors Spectrum Equity and YFM Equity Partners. The round itself was reported at $56 million, closing in September 2026.

The Product

Xapien is built to give organisations full counterparty coverage and risk visibility without compromising on speed or scale. The platform reads the open web, corporate records, sanctions lists, and media in any language, performs risk analysis, and returns fully sourced and auditable reports within minutes rather than days. It serves multinational corporations, law firms, private banks, universities, nonprofits, and professional services firms.

Unlike general-purpose generative AI tools, Xapien is purpose-built specifically for due diligence. It incorporates compliance-focused datasets, uses anti-hallucination technology, and ensures every output is verified and fully sourced down to the sentence level, making it suitable for professional risk and compliance workflows.

Security and Integration

Xapien emphasises security through encrypted communication for its search interface and by hosting its data-processing platform within secure, dedicated virtual private cloud environments, designed to meet the privacy and data-handling requirements of professional legal and compliance teams.

The platform is also built to slot into existing compliance workflows, offering API access and pre-built integrations with third-party platforms such as ServiceNow, along with various compliance and entity-management systems, to streamline onboarding and risk research.

Business Model

Xapien operates on an organisational, annual subscription model rather than offering a free trial or free tier for individual users, though it does offer tailored plans for not-for-profit organisations.

Industries

The company operates across artificial intelligence, due diligence, risk management, and compliance technology.
