Laven and Squarelife Partner to Launch Complementary Health Insurance in Poland

WARSAW, November 15, 2024 – Laven, a Polish insurtech innovator, has announced a strategic partnership with international insurance provider Squarelife to introduce complementary health insurance to customers in Poland. The collaboration marks Squarelife’s entry into the Polish health insurance sector, with plans to expand into other European markets leveraging Squarelife’s established presence.

The move aligns with Squarelife’s commitment to offering innovative insurance solutions. The company has officially secured approval from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, enabling it to provide health insurance specifically for this partnership.

Expanding Access to Modern Healthcare

Laven’s complementary health insurance product is designed to bridge gaps in healthcare coverage, offering access to advanced medical technologies not included in Poland’s National Health Fund (NFZ). Policyholders can receive up to 4 million PLN in coverage for treatments and procedures, alongside a global second-opinion service through MediGuide International, connecting them with leading healthcare providers worldwide.

“Squarelife’s technological sophistication and international footprint make them the ideal partner for our mission to transform healthcare accessibility,” said Piotr Karda, CEO of Laven SA. “Their market expertise allows us to deliver modern insurance solutions efficiently, while their global presence opens doors for expansion across Europe.”

A Partnership with Global Reach

Squarelife, a member of the Swiss-based Lifeware Group, has been at the forefront of digital transformation in the insurance industry for over 25 years. With a portfolio of over 100 insurance products across 16 European countries, Squarelife brings a wealth of experience and resources to this partnership.

“We are excited to support Laven’s growth in Poland and internationally,” said Elias Vicari, CEO of Squarelife. “Laven’s complementary health insurance product aligns perfectly with our vision of modern, value-driven insurance offerings that benefit both employees and employers.”

Looking Ahead

The partnership signifies a bold step toward reshaping the healthcare insurance landscape, combining Laven’s innovative solutions with Squarelife’s global expertise. As the collaboration takes root in Poland, both companies aim to redefine health insurance standards and improve access to essential healthcare technologies across Europe.
