Imvi Labs Raises €560K to Scale VR-Based Solution for Eye Coordination and Reading Performance

Swedish healthtech startup Imvi Labs has raised SEK 6 million (approximately €560K / $650K) in an oversubscribed funding round to accelerate commercialization and scaling of its VR-based vision training technology.

VR Meets Cognitive and Visual Performance

Based in Malmö, Imvi Labs is developing a combination of VR and app-based solutions designed to improve eye coordination and reading speed—key factors in both learning and cognitive performance.

The company operates at the intersection of neuroscience, digital therapeutics, and immersive technology, targeting challenges that affect both children and adults, from reading difficulties to visual processing inefficiencies.

Strong Demand Reflected in Oversubscribed Round

The SEK 6 million round was oversubscribed, signaling strong investor interest. New investor Granitor Growth Management joined the cap table with a SEK 2.6 million investment, alongside continued support from existing shareholders.

According to CEO Peter Carlsson, the fresh capital will be used to:

  • Accelerate commercialization
  • Scale operations
  • Expand market reach

From Innovation to Market Adoption

Imvi Labs is now entering a critical growth phase, shifting focus from product development to real-world deployment.

Its solution is particularly relevant in education and healthcare contexts, where improving reading ability and visual coordination can have long-term impact on learning outcomes and quality of life.

By leveraging VR, the company offers a more engaging and potentially more effective alternative to traditional training methods.

Why This Matters

Difficulties with reading and visual coordination are widespread yet often underdiagnosed or insufficiently treated.

Digital therapeutics—especially those using immersive technologies like VR—are emerging as a powerful new category within HealthTech. Imvi Labs is part of this shift, bringing scalable, tech-driven solutions to problems traditionally addressed through manual or analog methods.

What’s Next

With fresh funding and a new strategic investor onboard, Imvi Labs is set to expand its presence and push further into commercialization.

As VR continues to find practical applications beyond entertainment, companies like Imvi Labs are demonstrating its potential to reshape healthcare and human performance.
