Almi Invest launches a real-time site for available startup jobs

Almi Invest is launching a real-time job vacancy site for its 372 portfolio companies in the Tech, Life Science, Cleantech and Industry sectors.

Almi Invest is Sweden’s most active startup investor and the launch is in partnership with the company Auranest.

At the moment there are about 240 vacancies at Almi Invest’s portfolio companies. These are updated in real time from 2,000 data sources and published continuously on Almi Invest’s website.

– The most in-demand startup jobs where the battle for talent is greatest can be found in the roles of developers, salespeople, digital marketers and engineers. The importance of managing the success of their customers as well as successfully retaining talent are also roles that are in demand, says Maria Kessling, Head of Marketing and Communications at Almi Invest

The system on which the job site is based is called Auranest. Auranest uses four technical methods to collect data in real time; ATS systems that each company has to publish ads, data directly from various websites with Auranet’s robots, from third-party sites such as Platsbanken, Monster and others, and various monitoring techniques if the companies publish ads in more odd formats such as a blog post.

– We look forward to visualizing the talent hunt and strengthening the job market for startups together with Sweden’s most active investor Almi Invest. Our solution is an efficient way for our customers to seamlessly collect unstructured information from over 2,000 data sources,” says Frode Thorsén, CEO and co-founder of Auranest.

Almi Invest’s portfolio is growing and the need to recruit talent to its companies is increasing. In 2021, a record 437 million was invested in 192 companies, including 55 new portfolio companies. Most investments were made in industry and tech, closely followed by life science. Portfolio companies also attracted a whopping €2.4 billion from private investors in 2021.

– The two biggest obstacles for startups to grow quickly are attracting capital and talent. With this site, we want to support our portfolio companies and promote tech job vacancies for those who want to join a growth journey in some of Sweden’s hottest startups, says Maria Kessling, Head of Marketing and Communications at Almi Invest
