A major milestone in European-Ukrainian defense collaboration has been reached as Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI) successfully completes production and dispatch of its first batch of drones to Ukraine—delivered fully on schedule.
The initial shipment includes Germany-produced Linza drones, now being supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This delivery marks a critical transition: from production setup to full-scale serial manufacturing under a pioneering co-production model between Germany and Ukraine.
From Setup to Scale
The first batch represents more than just a delivery—it signals operational maturity. With manufacturing now active, QFI is shifting its focus toward:
- Scaling production capacity
- Stabilizing industrial processes
- Ensuring continuous and predictable supply
According to Matthias Lehna, Managing Director at QFI:
“The first deliveries mark the shift from building capability to delivering at scale. Our priority now is to increase output, stabilize production, and ensure reliable, continuous supply aligned with operational demand.”
“Build with Ukraine” in Action
The drones are based on battle-tested systems developed by Frontline Robotics and are manufactured under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative.
This initiative combines:
- Ukrainian combat-proven engineering
- German industrial manufacturing precision
The result is a scalable production pipeline designed to meet the evolving needs of modern warfare.
Mykyta Rozhkov, CBDO at Frontline Robotics, emphasized the mission:
“Our goal is to help ensure that the needs of Ukrainian forces for tactical UAVs are fully met. We are focused on delivering systems that perform reliably in real operations, while maintaining stable and predictable supply.”
Strategic Partnership Driving European Defense Innovation
QFI is a joint venture between Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics, representing the first German-Ukrainian co-production of drones at industrial scale.
The partnership aims to establish:
- Europe’s first fully automated foreign drone production line for Ukraine
- A resilient defense supply chain within Europe
- Faster deployment cycles for mission-critical UAV systems
Quantum Systems, a European leader in intelligent unmanned systems, contributes expertise in ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance), AI-driven autonomy, and integrated mission solutions. Meanwhile, Frontline Robotics brings deep battlefield experience, having developed technologies deployed by Ukrainian forces since 2014.
What Comes Next
While specific operational details remain undisclosed for security reasons, QFI has confirmed that production ramp-up is already underway. The company plans to accelerate deliveries throughout 2026, aligning output with real-time battlefield demand.
This milestone underscores a broader shift in defense manufacturing—toward distributed, collaborative, and scalable production models that can respond quickly to modern security challenges.
