– The food delivery market in Poland is worth approx. PLN 4 billion and is growing dynamically. We decided to make this investment taking into account both Restaumatic’s position and the fact that it allows us to expand our business in a new for us and very prospective SaaS segment. An additional value is the cooperation with the leading Polish venture capital investors and the founders of the highest valued Polish startups – says Adam Rogaliński, VP Corporate Development at Wirtualna Polska Holding S.A.
Wirtualna Polska will indirectly gain a minority share in the Restaumatic company by joining the special purpose fund Supercharge Capital. The fund’s management team consists of Grzegorz Kazulak, Kuba Filipowski, Daniel Surmacz and Wiktor Schmidt, the founders of such startups as RTB House and Netguru. Wirtualna Polska will invest 19,8 million PLN, which will allow it to acquire 69% of the Supercharge Capital fund. The fund will own about 16,9% of Restaumatic’s shares. Restaumatic had in 2021 almost PLN 20 million revenue and positive EBITDA result. The money obtained from the investment round will be used by Restaumatic for product development and acquiring new customers, including those in Central and Eastern Europe.
The transaction will be finalized after obtaining the consent of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
