Paris-based Startup Mendo Raises €3.5 Million to Boost Generative AI Adoption in Companies

Mendo, a Paris-based startup focused on employee training in software and generative AI tools, has secured €3.5 million in its latest fundraising round. This new capital will fuel the company’s expansion and international growth, particularly in the United Kingdom. It follows Mendo’s initial €700,000 round in November 2023.

Leading this round is UK-based Emerge Education, a prominent player in the education sector, with support from existing investors Tomcat Ventures and several high-profile business angels, including Claudio Erba, CEO of Docebo (NASDAQ: DCBO).

Unlocking the Full Potential of Generative AI

Mendo’s co-founder and CEO, Quentin Amaudry, emphasized the importance of understanding and correctly using generative AI tools. “This fundraising allows us to support more companies in their digital transformation, ensuring the smooth and sustainable adoption of these new technologies,” Amaudry said.

Jan Lynn-Marten, Founding Partner at Emerge Education, echoed this sentiment: “Mendo addresses a critical need by ensuring that AI adoption drives long-term transformation and productivity, rather than being just a passing trend.”

Navigating the Challenges of AI Adoption

Despite the rising interest in generative AI—65% of organizations are using it in 2024, according to a McKinsey survey—many businesses struggle with effective implementation. Mendo aims to close this gap by providing tailored employee training through its SaaS solution, MendoGPT. The platform focuses on optimizing the use of AI tools like Microsoft Copilot 365.

Fueling Growth and International Expansion

Mendo’s latest funding will support team growth and international expansion, particularly in the UK, which already accounts for 10% of its revenue. The company plans to double the number of employees trained—currently over 15,000—and hire 20 new employees, including sales professionals, developers, and marketers.

Patrice Thiry, Co-Founder of Tomcat Invest, highlighted the company’s momentum: “Mendo embodies the ambition and execution we look for. Their approach to AI adoption is spot-on, and this funding will further accelerate their growth.”

Mendo is positioning itself as a key player in helping businesses navigate digital transformation through efficient AI integration, setting the stage for significant global impact.
