Isometric Raises €34M to Scale AI-Powered Certification Platform for Industrial Markets

London-based DeepTech startup Isometric has raised €34 million ($40 million) in Series A funding to expand its AI-driven certification platform across the global industrial certification market, valued at approximately €305 billion ($350 billion).

The round was led by AVP, with participation from existing investors including Lowercarbon Capital and Plural, as well as angel investment from prominent figures such as John Doerr (Kleiner Perkins chairman) and Walter Kortschak.

AI Agents for Industrial Certification

Isometric is building an agentic AI certification platform designed to modernize how industrial projects are verified for compliance, safety, and sustainability standards.

Traditionally, certification processes have required a trade-off between speed and rigor. Isometric aims to eliminate this compromise by using AI agents to automate verification workflows while maintaining human oversight.

Its platform processes large-scale datasets—including sensor readings, satellite data, supply chain records, and laboratory results—to validate claims made by industrial operators.

Certify: Automating Verification at Scale

At the core of the company’s offering is Certify, an AI-powered system that:

  • Ingests and cross-checks millions of data points
  • Identifies inconsistencies and anomalies
  • Flags high-risk cases for expert human review
  • Streamlines certification workflows across industrial projects

By combining automation with expert validation, Isometric aims to reduce the time and cost required for industrial certification while maintaining regulatory-grade accuracy.

From Carbon Markets to Industrial Infrastructure

Originally founded in 2022, Isometric initially focused on carbon removal certification, where it has already become a leading global verifier.

The company has certified over 16 million tonnes of carbon removal projects and works with major organizations including Microsoft, JPMorganChase, Anglo American, and Boeing.

Its expansion now extends beyond carbon markets into broader industrial certification use cases, including energy, manufacturing, and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Addressing a €305 Billion Market

The global certification industry plays a critical role in ensuring compliance before:

  • Investors commit capital
  • Regulators issue permits
  • Buyers approve industrial purchases

However, the sector is often slow, fragmented, and heavily manual. Isometric’s platform targets these inefficiencies by introducing AI-driven automation into compliance-heavy workflows.

Built by Identity Verification Veterans

Isometric was founded by Eamon Jubbawy, who previously co-founded identity verification company Onfido, which scaled AI-powered identity checks to over one billion verifications globally.

This background informs Isometric’s approach to combining machine intelligence with human oversight in high-stakes verification environments.

Scaling AI-Driven Compliance Infrastructure

The company’s approach reflects a broader trend in enterprise and industrial markets: the emergence of AI-native compliance infrastructure.

Across sectors such as carbon accounting, supply chain auditing, and regulatory certification, companies are increasingly adopting automation to handle large-scale data validation tasks.

Isometric positions itself as infrastructure for this shift—providing a trusted layer between industrial operators and the institutions that validate their claims.

Political and Industry Support for UK DeepTech

The funding round also highlights growing UK government and investor support for AI-enabled industrial infrastructure companies.

Officials have emphasized the importance of scaling frontier AI companies that can turn scientific and technical innovation into globally competitive businesses.

Looking Ahead

With new funding secured, Isometric plans to expand its AI certification platform beyond carbon markets and deepen its presence across industrial sectors worldwide.

As global industries face increasing pressure to demonstrate compliance, transparency, and sustainability, AI-powered certification systems like Isometric are emerging as a critical layer of modern industrial infrastructure.
