“The aim of ElevateGreece is to promote networking among start-ups, as well as their potential for international promotion. It also records their progress on the basis of critical indicators, making start-ups an attraction for investment angels.” This was noted in his speech this afternoon at the inauguration of the National Register of Start-ups through the online platform ElevateGreece, by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Christos Dimas.
The platform is ready to receive registration applications from start-ups. “It is now the ‘electronic gateway’ through which it will be certified that registered businesses are ‘officially’ characterized as start-ups,” the Deputy Minister said, adding that it aims to strengthen, develop and extrovert Greek start-ups. Furthermore, he noted that through the new platform, startups can participate in the National Startup Entrepreneurship Awards and have access to benefits and sponsorships from the Official Supporters of ElevateGreece.
“Until today, the State did not know how many startups exist, in which sectors they operate, how many employees they employ and what their turnover is. ElevateGreece is the State’s indispensable tool for targeted support of startups,” the Deputy Minister said.
