Amanda AI Raises SEK 10M as Stockholm AdTech Startup Cuts Costs and Expands to the UK

Amanda AI Raises SEK 10M as Stockholm AdTech Startup Cuts Costs and Expands to the UK

Stockholm-based Amanda AI, which develops autonomous AI technology for digital advertising, has raised SEK 10 million (approximately €900,000 / $1.05 million) from existing investors and shareholders, including its founders and Swedish investment firm Spiltan.

The fresh capital comes as the company restructures its operations, significantly reducing costs while preparing for expansion into the United Kingdom.

New CEO, leaner organization

Amanda AI has undergone a major operational reset under CEO Charlotte Berg, who recently took over leadership of the company.

The startup has reduced its workforce and moved into less expensive office space as part of an effort to lower its cost base and improve efficiency.

The latest SEK 10 million financing gives Amanda AI additional runway to execute its new strategy while continuing to develop its advertising automation platform.

Berg described the funding as a signal that the company’s shareholders have strong confidence in the new direction.

An autonomous advertising robot

Amanda AI develops an autonomous AI advertising platform designed to automate and optimize digital advertising campaigns across major platforms including Google, Meta and Bing.

The company’s technology is designed to act as an “advertising robot,” continuously analyzing campaign performance and making adjustments to improve results.

Instead of requiring marketers to manually monitor campaigns and modify bids, budgets and targeting, the platform aims to automate much of the optimization process.

This positions Amanda AI within the rapidly expanding market for AI-powered marketing automation, where companies are increasingly looking to autonomous systems to manage repetitive performance-marketing tasks.

Expanding into the UK

Alongside the restructuring and new financing, Amanda AI is entering the UK market.

The expansion gives the company access to one of Europe’s largest digital advertising markets and provides an opportunity to test its leaner operating model internationally.

For Amanda AI, the UK expansion comes at a time when the advertising industry is undergoing a major shift toward AI-driven campaign management.

Major advertising platforms themselves are rapidly introducing automated optimization tools, increasing competitive pressure on independent AdTech companies. Amanda AI’s strategy is therefore to differentiate through greater autonomy and cross-platform campaign management.

Focus on efficiency and growth

The new strategy combines two priorities that are often difficult for startups to balance: reducing operating costs while continuing to invest in growth.

By cutting its cost base, raising additional capital from existing shareholders and entering the UK market, Amanda AI is positioning itself for a more capital-efficient next stage.

The latest financing also suggests that existing investors remain willing to support the company as it executes its strategic reset.
