Södra Dalarnas Sparbank is starting a course in entrepreneurship for young people aged 19-25.
The aim is to get more people curious about what it means to be an entrepreneur and run projects or start their own business.
Young people aged 19-25 who live in Avesta, Hedemora or Säters municipality can now attend a free course in entrepreneurship.
12 young people living in Avesta, Hedemora or Säters municipality are offered a place on the course, which starts on 30 May. There will be 12 course sessions where exciting local company visits are interspersed with inspiring lectures on e-commerce, branding, communication and economics, among other things. Those who sign up do not need any prior knowledge and the course is free of charge.
The course is run by Södra Dalarnas Sparbank together with Therese Nielsen who runs her company Vindla where she works with business development.
Therese is also the director of the Northern Dalarna Business Start-up Centre.
– Through this course, we hope to inspire and create a network for young people who are thinking about starting their own business. The youth barometer shows that the boredom of the pandemic has given rise to many new ideas and a burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit, and we want to take advantage of that. There seems to be interest, we already have six registered, says Therese Oljans Backlin, marketing manager Södra Dalarnas Sparbank.
– The structure with both company visits, inspiration, knowledge and that the group has become a new network has been very appreciated in northern Dalarna. It’s fantastic that Södra Dalarnas Sparbank is investing in young people, I look forward to inspiring them about entrepreneurship in southern Dalarna, says Therese Nielsen, business development consultant, Vindla AB.
