EV Startup Fisker Considers Bankruptcy Amid Restructuring Talks

Fisker, an electric vehicle (EV) startup, is reportedly preparing for a potential bankruptcy filing, as per a report from the Wall Street Journal on March 13. The company has enlisted restructuring advisers from FTI Consulting and law firm Davis Polk for assistance with this matter. Fisker has refrained from providing comments on these developments. Earlier this month, Fisker highlighted concerns about ongoing operations, including risks, job reductions, and a temporary halt in investments until it secures a manufacturing partnership. Recent reports also mentioned advanced discussions between Fisker and Nissan for a potential investment deal, which could grant Nissan access to Fisker’s electric pickup truck technology.
